As apple season comes, tens of thousands of visitors are attracted by the orchards and touched by the beauty of the colourful mountain. They look forward to eat crunchy apples freshly picked. The different orchards of the region promote over sixty varieties of apple. This joyful autumn feast is the result of the year-round labour. From the end of winter until the end of fall the apple growers trim and nurse apple trees. To promote pollination of the flowers, the apple growers call on bees to give them a hand. This collaboration of man with nature leads to fresh and juicy fruits from which juice, pies, ciders and other delicious treats can be obtained. Did you know that an apple tree can produce up to 2000 apples? Remember that a local apple a day guarantees a beautiful region forever.
