It’s springtime in the Biosphere Reserve of Mont Saint-Hilaire. The Richelieu River is still flooding certain banks. The buds in the trees are just starting to bloom. The waters from the melting snow transform into springs and into spectacular waterfalls. Hertel Lake is at its maximum level. In the understory, one can spot here and there, the first fiddle heads that will grow to be luscious ferns. Spring flowers also appear under different shapes and colours. After the long winter, nature finally comes to life.
