While springtime showcases the forest’s beauty, summer is the season of the meadows and fields. Flowering plants bloom by the thousands: daisies, coneflowers and hawkweed add splashes of bright colour to the landscape. In the forest, in the shade of the trees, nature is more silent, more discrete. Nesting birds tend to their broods and try not to draw the attention of predators. By now, frogs have mostly finished their musical courting, but they are all still there. You just have to take the time to look for them, and keep your eyes wide open.
