Night in Kuujjuaq

This site is meant to be a respectful homage to a people and the land they inhabit. The site's approach, seeking to promote open-mindedness and respect for traditions, was shaped by meetings with Nunavimmiut throughout their land.

The site does not claim to be exhaustive but rather an evocative patchwork of facts and images, endeavouring to bring people closer to one another by highlighting the Nunavimmiut's respect for the environment and everything that lives there, the richness of their culture and their deep sense of community.

It is also intended as a platform that allows the voices of Nunavimmiut to be heard. Their contributions, from the wisdom of the elders to the aspirations of children, are presented here as a result of privileged meetings with these people.
