heritage

The notion of heritage is all-pervasive nowadays and has been elevated to the status of universal dogma. Its definition varies from context to context: it may refer to an inheritance, the authenticity value of certain objects, respect for and commemoration of tradition, a regulatory legal framework, the refurbishing of buildings and reincorporation of existing architectural elements, cultural development projects and, according to some, the current production of artifacts.
