V Forty Days and Forty Nights
Jesus goes into the desert to be tested and undergo the temptations of man. His success symbolizes a spiritual transition, wherein he proves he is stronger than the flesh of man and full of the spirit of God. It also shows how he is still a man and can be tempted as any man.
