Address Hours & Admission About the Collections Services & Activities Publications & Products Back to museum list
The museum was opened in 1960 and since then it has been a favourite stop for many park visitors. The displays are a blend of the old and new with many mounts reflecting the variety of wildlife in the park. These mounts were donated by local cottagers and residents for everyone to enjoy. Displays focus on the boreal forest, Aboriginal peoples, Petroforms, sturgeon and the Winnipeg River.
The classroom is a great space for students and park visitors to enjoy a variety of activities. Interpreters offer crafts, games and family programs in June, July and August. Campfire programs are held in the outdoor fire pit to let visitors try their hand at making bannock or meet a Voyaguer from the past. If you are looking for information on Petroform Tour Times and Schedules the museum has all the up-to-date information that you need and would be happy to answer your questions. The museum is located on PR 307 at Nutimik Lake within convenient walking distance of Nutimik Campground. Please call 204-348-2846 (after May 1) or email morgan.hallett@gov.mb.ca for more information and times of events.
