The Irish Moss Interpretative Centre is located in the same building as the Seaweed Pie Café, located on Route 14, in Miminegash, PEI. Open from June 5 to September 24, the business is owned and operated by women in support of fishing and provides a detailed look at the moss harvest through displays and video.

Video Tour 2

The Irish Moss Interpretative Centre provides a look at a unique Island way of life and those involved in the moss harvest. The exhibit includes information on the types of seaweed, how it’s collected and what it is used for as well as other interesting information. The exhibits include photographs, video and actual artefacts used in the industry.
