TRANSCRIPTION

William Canning - "What my understanding is, that he moved here around the same time as they did in Barr'd Islands. He moved, but he came to Birchy Bay."
Desmond Canning - "Okay."
William Canning - "He had a tilt now, probally he was just wintering you know what I mean?"
Desmond Canning - "Yeah."
William Canning - "And this was in the spring."
Desmond Canning - "Yeah."
William Canning - "And in the spring he went out to do some fishing, or do something anyway, sealing I understand thats the story."
Desmond Canning - "Okay."
William Canning - "And he came in, he went to came in in the indians had his tilt burned and his wife killed and she was, she was pregnant and from my understanding from the story I heard, the legend had it she was pregnant."

J-So really there was two people killed.

J-He then rowed to from Birchy Bay to Englee.
